AN ODE TO THE GREAT WARRIOR ORC CHIEFTAN FARR'TUUL (an NPC named by Dungeon Master Steven R. Toussaint in the AD&D campaign way back in 1980)

re: G1 series & that Novel "Orcs" you mentioned earlier: An
Ode to the Great Warrior Orc Chieftan Farr'Tuuu'L (the correct Orc
pronunciation is difficult and so the spelling isn't the best)
According to the Legends of the local D&D campaign ( I knew about
where I was too young to play in at the time), way back in 1980 when
they played "G1 Steading of the Hill Giant Chief" , The Party
negotiated with a group of Orc NPC refugees escaping slavery from the
Hill Giants and Drow Elves in the Bottom Caverns to unite his people in
alliance with the party all the way to kicking some Giant & Drow Elf
ass in the sequel D1-D3 modules: thus becoming a group of Benevolent
good revolutionary Orcs who ended their wicked ways in favor of
benevolent rescue operations emancipating Orcs across the Gygaxian
Multiverse. Never Forget The Great and Mighty Far-Tuu'l in the Legends
of The Benevolent Orc Liberation Brigade. Recycling & repeating
fart jokes to Tim Kask of Curmuddgeon in the cellar Episodes 107 through
 109. 14:42
I don't wish to be the least bit boastful and mention the heroic Orc
Chieftain's name anymore than I already did, but you were absolutely
right in saying in last episode that's a "tale that'll be told in the
taverns late @ night" "when the wind howls" because the Orc Chieftain
(which Gary Gygax invented in G1 & the DM modified to suit the
adventure) got his legendary epic name just when the heroes were
convinced they were desperately outgunned & outnumbered and the Orc
chief said to the PC party captain "pull my finger", which he did, and
that's when the Great Orc drew & aimed his backside fury of enormous
special power breaking howling wind against the terrible foes, saving
many important lives.
