Stephen Cosmos Arthur INTERESTING QUESTION and word choice Because for those of us who've had bad experiences at some festivals and gatherings, had enough ridicule and ridiculously excited moments for 1 life time and don't need risking encountering the shock of crowds of big fiat currency money, greed, commercialization, costume parties, absolute strangers and their cliques, their group think, their secret societies, their impure motives, & social experiments going wrong again and again pushing more and more weirdness ANYMORE

Perhaps a "Magical dance floor moment at a festival gathering" might have a better place lasting all seasons far beyond a lifetime, with only beautiful healing exctiment free of ridicule, if ONLY 2 compatible people can agree on making that happen arranging their own private space INSTEAD (or at least first of all)?

And so I'm posting this just in case someone else feels the way I do, and really loves the simplicity of this proposition, appreciates this image. or at the very least does not take offense. But if this does offend you, that's good too. I can't say that really bothers me either as much as it would if I had never responded as I did. - Peace Karl a.k.a. Stephen Cosmos Arthur

Jose Noway For some of us who are blessed, we get a great deal of psycho-spiritual rejuvenation from attending the Oregon Country Fair and the Beloved Festival, both quite special events historically and culturally.

Stephen Cosmos Arthur Let's call a spade a spade. Maybe re-directing some people with Unfulfilled goals or Unrealistic expectations at the Fair to a more appropriate venue would help reduce the rates of personal boundary violations [at the fair] there? Here's a map:  (GREEN ZONE MAP ABOVE)

Beverly Fields I am super confused by this post. Are you insinuating that people in Nevada don't have personal boundaries?

Stephen Cosmos Arthur LOL I'll just say there's some puns and facetiousness there and the irony of a Wikipedia article essentially implying Oregon is a totally Red state while Nevada Desert has Green areas. Maybe you'll get it eventually.

Beverly Fields Ok, so for real you opened with the racist "calling a spade a spade" and then put up a map implying sex workers do not have boundaries? And you think you are making a joke? And that you are funny? Wtf is wrong with you?

Stephen Cosmos Arthur re-read my edited word choice and study conext. No nothing racist. "a spade" is slang for "harsh truth" and the reality of human sexuality is that some people feel a bit sexually frustrated at the OCF and aren't getting laid and would be better to not attend or go to where prostitution is perfectly legal and pay for services there than risk freaking people out at the fair.

Beverly Fields Naw dude - that phrase is racist. Full. Stop. And pretending that sex work stops predators is flat ignorance.

Stephen Cosmos Arthur well I guess the semantics quibblers have got me cornered. I never heard it used in a racist context before. May as well ban all standard card decks. There's always at least 13 cards with spades on them.

Beverly Fields Laguage evolves. And since I know both black people and sex workers who will be at fair, I think this is foul

Stephen Cosmos Arthur I don't care what you think. You don't need to care what I think either. I'm not going to the Oregon Country Fair. I'm happy you'll enjoy that place especially knowing I'm never going there again.
